How can I pass on my assets while I’m still alive?

If you intend to pass on your assets while you are still alive, you can give part of your assets or even all your existing assets as gifts. Czech law does not allow your potential heirs to deny the validity of a gift only because by virtue of the gifts nothing was left that they could inherit. However, if you intend to give a major part of your assets as a gift while you are still alive, particularly real property you are living in, you can reserve rights in a Gift Agreement that will ensure you comfort for life, such as the right to use the given properties, or even the right to a pension payable in money. The notary will advise you which solution is suitable for your life situation and will draw up all required documents.
