Are my children allowed to renounce my inheritance in advance?
Your children, as well as any other persons, are allowed to renounce in advance their future right to the inheritance. Similarly, they may renounce only the reserved share of the inheritance to which they are entitled by law or any gifts which are already provided for in the dispositions of property upon death. To be valid, this renunciation must be authenticated by a notary, who shall, of course, advise the renouncing person on the implications of the renunciation and on other possible alternative options.
