How can I make sure my children are treated equally ?
As the children of the deceased are the legal heirs, the law puts them all on an equal footing. As a result, the testator who wishes to treat her/his children equally may – in principle – abstain from drawing up a will. If the testator feels that it is more appropriate to allocate, for example, immovable property to one child and funds to another, it is advisable to consult a civil notary for the purpose of drawing up a will.
