Can my children renounce the inheritance in advance ?
You can renounce the succession after the testator's death. The notary, as judicial commissioner, has to inform you of your right to renounce the inheritance. You will have one month to decide whether you want to accept the inheritance or not. You can only renounce an inheritance for yourself, meaning that you cannot renounce it with the same legal effects on behalf of your descendants.
